Barbaric shows the fatal disadvantage of renting someone else’s house for the night when Tess (Georgina Campbell) and Keith (Bill Skarsgård) Order the same house to stay in. Tess does not fully trust Keith, but she quickly finds that he is not the one he should fear. There is something lurking in the basement, and Tess wants for unknown reasons. Barbaric is a difficult film to describe as it starts as a standard excitement film and changes to something else altogether by the end. Director Zach Cregger Know when to change gears – and genres – completely, leading to a film that is never predictable and always fun. If you’ve seen it, it’s still very watchable, if just to see how Cregger sets up his preset and treats his audience as a master.
