The world doesn’t need another movie for a hitting man but if he’s going to get one, he could star too Michael Keaton. He starred as John Knox, the murderer of a contract that is about to retire. He has one last hit to take off, though, and when he goes badly, he has left with a big mess to clean. Knox’s troubles do not finish there, like his disengaged son, Miles (James Marsden), asks for his help to pay attention to murder he committed. Knox is a good hitting man but a bad dad, but by helping Miles, he may find a way to compensate for his past mistakes.
Knox goes away It has a lot of plot, and sometimes too much happens. (Did I mention that Knox has a dementia and has a relationship with a Polish sex worker?) But Keaton makes all this work get by giving a slightly scary and remarkable performance. Knox is a murderer with a guilty conscience, and his last act may be in his doom to fate he has been trying to avoid his whole life.
