But luckily, we live in an age where they can have a second streaming life.
On MaxHBO streaming home and Warner Bros. Discovery, there are tons of underachieved films for watching in May. Watching with us has chosen three films worth looking at now.
‘Dicks: The Musical’ (2023)

The disgraceful musical comedy, this great scale, did not get the attention it deserved during its short theatrical run. Not for the children but if you are a fan of The Rocky Horror Picture Show or movies John WatersIt has to be seen. Comedian Josh Sharp and Aaron Jackson. But when they realize they are “f *** ing twins !!” – they don’t look alike, but no one in the movie is questioning it – they start a mission to reunite their mother and father à la The parent trap.
The True Star Power comes in this film of two former comedy -fan: Nathan Lane (The producer) As their father recently outside the closet and Megan Mullally (Will and grace) As their eccentric, agoraphobic mother. Dicks full of dirty humor, funny performances and a catchy number by Megan Thee Stallionwho plays Boss Craig and Trevor.
HBO has always been the main destination for film lovers and its streaming service, Max, has a deep, diverse library of classics like Speed with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock to more recent hits as we live in time with Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield. ‘Companion’ (2025)

M3gan is a horror comedy phenomenon about evil trying to kill its creators. But in Companionthe Ai is the hero instead of the villain. Sophie Thatcher (Yellowjackets) plays Iris, a young girl desperate in love with her love Josh (Jack quaid. The boys). But a weekend getaway with Josh’s friends goes wrong when Iris learns she’s a “companion robot,” or programmed to love Josh. Iris’ bloody attempt for her autonomy is very scary, sometimes funny and remarkably moving.
The comedy lineup on HBO and Max is the delight of movie love because his library of films goes back decades to the past. Most of the other streamers do not have many films before 1980. That’s why it’s so refreshing to get the option to go back even further. Watch with us’ selections for the (…)
This short horror theatrical release window kept her from being due, but we think it was funnier and wiser than the more popular M3gan. Here’s hope with enough streaming traffic, Companion us Have a sequence in the near future.

Super/man also looks at the period before Richard Donner’s first Superman A film, which critics and audiences expected to be a huge failure. Were it not for Christopher Reeve, they would not be the Box Office dynamo comic book movies, but Super/man Showing how that was the least of Reeve’s achievements.
