In this animated masterpiece by the filmmaker from Japan Hayao miyazakiSatsuki and Mei (voiced by Dakota Fanning and Elle fanning In the English version) move with their father to a house in the country while their mother is in hospital. As the two little girls explore their new home, they encounter a mysterious, playful and ridiculous spirit of beloved named Totoro. The title creature presents them to a magical world of the spirits of nature that have become the iconic symbols of Japanese animation in their own right. (Ghibli Studio – Miyazaki Film Studio – he even has himself Theme park in Japan.)
The arbitrary, imaginative nature of this film is exciting and soothing. The imagery is beautiful, and the young Fanning sisters are lovely in their voice acting roles. My Totoro neighbor Includes themes about family and nature that are right for this time of year.

It features an all-Anifail cast and no oral lines, and yet the stunning images and charming animal characters make it just as fascinating as any Disney or Pixar Joke-heavy film. (The Latvian movie had so much effect a statue of the cat placed in his riga capital.)

With an increasing bunch of unlikely animal friends (including Capybara and Whale), the cat strives to find a safe haven and escape from rising water levels. It is a hopeful, modern environmental myth that will inspire you to care for the people and animals in your life.

From the lively sets to the attractive performances to the charming musical numbers, Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory is the exact definition of a magical film. This film was definitely ahead of her time in terms of impressive production design, and while the versions that followed were brilliant, you can’t really beat the original. As Veruca Salt would say, “I want it now!”
