After Radio Erica Bain host (Jodie Foster) He is attacked and her fiancée is killed by three men in NYC Central Park, she is filled with fear and rage. Determined to gain some control over her life, she buys a gun on the black market. When she finds herself in the midst of a randomly convenient shop theft, she shoots and kills the thieves, firing a thirst for vigilante justice that is growing rapidly of control. As Erica hunted the men who attacked her, will she lose the most important thing of all – herself?
The brave one is a feminine-centered version of the 1974 classic The wish of deathexcept there is less ambiguity in portraying Erica’s crimes. For the most part, they are justified, and the film does an excellent job of making you feel Erica’s need to avenge the wrongs that have happened to it.
The finale is a bit too neat for a complex story like this one, but whatever deficiencies the film is neutralized by the powerful performance of Foster like the loose Erica. His acting here is just as good as he was in The silence of the lambsAnd she shows a cruel, violent streak that Clarice Starling was never in his possession.

The Brad Pitt movie F1 Races into theaters this week but if you want to experience a similar buzz at home, take Ford v Ferrari for a test drive. The title of the film refers to the bitter competition between Henry Ford II (Tracy Letts) and Enzo Ferrari (Remus group), but it is really about the men who drive their cars, specifically the legendary racer Ken Miles (Christian ballet) and automotive designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon).
Both men are like oil and water, but have to join to help Ford, an American car company not known for racing, compete against Ferrari, a European company specializing in building fast -driving cars and winning races. Shelby does not like Ken’s arrogance, and Ken is not a big fan of Shelby stubbornness, but together, they may have what he needs to beat Ferrari and secure an unlikely victory for Ford.
Ford v Ferrari is a father’s film in the best sense, as she chronicles a 1960s bromance between two men who really have little to say to each other. Damon is usually firm as the determined Shelby, but Bale makes the most impression like Ken, a man who is devoted to his family as much as he has the sport of racing. It is one of the actor’s best roles, and was correctly nominated for an Oscar for its subtle performance.

The holder in the rye it was never made a feature movie but if it had done so, it would look something like Igby goes down. Kieran culkin Stars like Igby, a dissatisfied young man who always rebels against his rich but distant family. After being kicked out of several preparation schools and a military academy, he is sent to live with his baptized father, DH Banes (Jeff Goldblum), for the summer. But as Igby’s troubles only start, as he strikes a romance with a baness mistress, Rachel (Amanda Peet), and discover that there are some family secrets he wishes to be better left hidden.
Igby goes down not hiding his affinity to JD SalingerInnovative creation. It’s actually part of the fun watching it, as you see what Holden Caulfield would like in a feature movie. SullENNESS SNARKY CULKIN is perfect for Igby, which invokes in cynicism as a way to avoid feeling any real emotion.
The auxiliary cast is great, with Susan Sarandon Standing out as Bell Igby’s mother and Goldblum gets most of the laughter as a charming charming godfather igby. The film uses the key landmarks of New York City like Central Park and the Twin Towers to create a funny/sad feel – it’s romance and a fabric of youth optimism that, as Igby finds it gradually, is far too soon.
