The NCAA has revealed that 13 former Men’s University Basketball players in six different programs were linked to play activities, including the shaving of points and attempts to influence the results of the game.
The athletes, who formerly represented Eastern Michigan, Temple, Arizona State, New Orleans, North Carolina A & T and Mississippi Valley State, are currently in investigation for rape related to bets.
NCAA has not revealed their names, claiming that they will remain confidential until the process of violations is completed. None of the players are still enrolled in schools where poor behavior was allegedly.
According to the NCAA, cases involve various rapes: betting on or against their own teams, providing information to third parties for betting purposes, deliberately altering the results of the game and, in some cases, refusing to cooperate with researchers.
The President of the NCAA, Charlie Baker, addressed the broadest implications of the topic in a statement: “The increase in sports bets is creating more opportunities for athletes from all sports to be dedicated to this unacceptable behavior, and while the legalized sports bets are here to maintain, regulators and games companies can do more to reduce these risks of giving and giving the lengths of gambling and giving them sports a seat on the table on the table.
