Kiev says that the bodies of 1212 Ukrainian soldiers were returned from Russia as part of an agreement on the exchange of prisoners between the countries.
In return, Russia received 27 bodies, said the chief Moscow negotiator Vladimir Medinsky.
Last week, the transaction of the prisoners was the only sensitive result of peace talks in Turkey, and both sides agreed to transfer as many as 6,000 dead in each, as well as patients and seriously injured prisoners of war, as well as at the age of 25.
Medinsky announced that Russia would start to exchange “severely wounded prisoners” on Thursday.
According to the telegram, gas said in a telegram.
The center added that it would “set the identity of the deceased as soon as possible”.
This is not the first time that the corpses have been repatable in this conflict – thousands have already exchanged more than 70 individual repatriations.
This exchange stems from a few days of allegations in Moscow that Ukraine did not gather bodies, which, according to Medinsky, were sitting in cooled trucks at the site of the exchange.
On Saturday, Medinsky also stated that Ukraine “unexpectedly postponed” the prisoner. In response, Ukraine stated that Russia plays “dirty tricks” and manipulating facts.
The first round of exchanges took place on Monday. There were emotional scenes when the families of the disappeared Ukrainian soldiers gathered near the border from Belarus to press the return of prisoners for information about their loved ones.
This day exchanged soldiers on both sidesBut neither Russia nor Ukraine gave the exact number of people changed.
